HIW/KOREA

Terms of Service

Effective 2026-08-27

Article 1 (Purpose)

  1. These Terms govern the rights, obligations and responsibilities between Wonderbox ("the Company") and users regarding the proxy purchasing service provided through HIW KOREA ("the Service").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Proxy purchase" means the Company purchasing goods from a Korean online shop on behalf of and at the request of the user, using funds provided by the user.
  2. "Proxy fee" means the service charge the Company receives in return for the proxy purchase, separate from the price of the goods.
  3. "Quotation" means the estimate the Company sends the user comprising the item price, proxy fee and estimated international shipping cost.

Article 3 (Legal nature of the Service)

  1. The Company is not the seller of the goods. The Company acts solely as the user's agent in purchasing goods from a third-party shop. The contract of sale is formed between the user and that shop.
  2. Accordingly, the amount the user pays consists of (i) funds entrusted to the Company for payment to the shop and (ii) the Company's proxy fee. Only (ii) constitutes the Company's revenue.

Article 4 (Formation of the contract)

  1. A proxy request submitted by the user is an offer. The proxy contract is formed when the user accepts the Company's quotation and completes payment.
  2. Submitting a request does not itself incur any charge. Before payment, the user may cancel the request at any time from the dashboard.
  3. The Company may decline a request where the goods are prohibited from export or import, where the source shop cannot be verified, or where the request is otherwise unlawful.

Article 5 (Quotation and price changes)

  1. Quotations are based on the price shown at the source shop at the time of quotation and on the exchange rate applied by the Company at that time. The exchange rate applied by the Company may differ from the interbank rate; the rate used is shown on each quotation.
  2. The proxy fee is 10% of the item price, with a minimum of KRW 3,000 per item. The fee is shown separately from the item price on every quotation.
  3. The international shipping cost in a quotation is an estimate. Where the actual weight or volume measured at the warehouse differs, the difference will be settled additionally or refunded.
  4. If the source price changes or the item sells out before purchase is executed, the Company will notify the user and either re-quote or cancel and refund in full.

Article 6 (Prohibited items)

  1. The Company does not handle items that cannot be carried internationally or cleared through Thai customs, including but not limited to: lithium batteries and power banks; weapons, replicas and ammunition; flammables such as sprays, lighters and alcohol; prescription medicines; and chilled or frozen food.
  2. The Service performs automated keyword screening on submitted URLs, but this is advisory only. Final determination rests with the Company and the customs authority.
  3. Where a prohibited item is discovered after payment, the contract is cancelled for that item and the amount is refunded after deducting costs already incurred.

Article 7 (Payment, cancellation and refunds)

  1. Payment is made by bank transfer or an equivalent remittance method designated by the Company. Purchase is executed after payment is confirmed.
  2. Before the Company executes the purchase, the user may cancel and receive a full refund.
  3. After the purchase has been executed, cancellation is subject to the return and refund policy of the source shop. Where the shop refuses a return, the Company cannot refund the item price. The proxy fee is non-refundable once the purchase has been executed, as the service has been performed.
  4. Simple change of mind after international dispatch is not a ground for refund.

Article 8 (International shipping)

  1. International transport is performed by TAEHAN Shipping. Once goods are handed over for international transport, the carrier's terms govern transport, customs clearance and delivery.
  2. Customs duties, VAT and other charges imposed by the destination country are borne by the user.
  3. The user must provide accurate recipient details and, where required, a personal customs clearance code. The Company is not liable for delay or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by the user.

Article 9 (Limitation of liability)

  1. As the Company is not the seller, it is not liable for defects, authenticity, quality or after-sales service of the goods themselves. The Company will, however, assist the user in raising such matters with the source shop.
  2. The Company is liable for damage caused by its own intent or negligence in performing the proxy purchase, such as purchasing a wrong item or a wrong option.
  3. The Company is not liable for failure to perform due to force majeure, including natural disaster, war, strike, or measures by customs or government authorities.

Article 10 (Amendment of these Terms)

  1. The Company may amend these Terms. Amendments are announced on the Service at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days in advance where the amendment is unfavourable to users.

Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are subject to the court having jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business.
